PICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Atlanta, Georgia
- Night shift, 3x12 hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- Float coverage includes ICUs across two campuses, with possible float to general care areas if no ICU need
Unit Details
- Pediatric ICU setting with float coverage to NICU, TICU, PICU, and CICU
- Uses Servo vents and respiratory therapy support in each ICU
- Typical ICU drips, medications, and pressors
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Every-other-weekend coverage expected
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

- Proof of 2 clinical references
- Complete application/resume
- Skills checklist for the applicable unit
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test for 3M N95 mask within 12 months of start
- Tdap vaccination required
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation
- Immunity or vaccination documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B
- Flu vaccination required for the current season
- Drug screen including nicotine/cotinine within 60 days of start
Additional Notes
- Annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission training acknowledgment is required
