Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 3 PM - 11 PM

• Trauma Level: Level 1 experience required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years as a certified sterile processing technician
• At least 2 years experience at a Level 1 trauma facility (1.5 years trauma experience may be considered if total experience is 3 years)
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Certifications Required

• National Certification: CRCST or CBSPD, CER/CFER (HSPA)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Must have Endoscopy/C.F.E.R certification (CBSPD or HSPA)

Special Requirements

• 2 years experience as a certified sterile processing technician at a Level 1 trauma facility
• Trauma Level 1 experience mandatory

Time Off Restrictions

• Maximum 10 RTO (Return to Office) days approved
• No RTO allowed during these blackout periods:

  • December 21, 2025 – January 3, 2026
  • March 14 – March 21, 2026
  • May 8 – May 11, 2026
  • May 21 – May 27, 2026
• Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions

Required Documentation & Compliance

• I9 or Attestation
• Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front/back)

• 7-year Background Check including:

  • SSN Trace
  • Colorado Statewide CBI
  • Education Verification (3rd party)
  • FACIS III or equivalent
  • Sex Offender Search
  • OFAC Sanctions List Search
• Employment Application and Work History Verification (last 3 years)
• References: 2 references from last 2 years, including one from last year, from Charge RN, Manager, Supervisor, or above
• Colorado CAPS Check Results (within 60 days of start)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam (within 1 year) signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
• Fit Mask Test (annual) with approved masks (3M 1860S, 1860R, 1870/1870+)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (annual updates)
• TB Questionnaire annually if positive TB history
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug Testing within 30 days of start and annually
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination proof or signed declination (acceptable vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna)
• Color Blindness: Ishihara exam required prior to start (online testing not accepted)

Competency Exams (must be current within 1 year)

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Competency Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (for ICU and related units)
• Core Part I, II, III Exams (minimum 80% score)
• OSHA Mandatory Training (minimum 80% score)

Notes

• Candidates with employment gaps of 15+ days are considered new and must meet full requirements
• Renewal plans for certifications expiring within 90 days of start must be confirmed to avoid clearance issues
