Unit Description

• Medical Telemetry Oncology Unit
• Telemetry certified RN preferred
• Experience with administering Chemotherapies preferred
• Cardiac telemetry including cardiac gtts (limited titration) and nurse-driven protocols
• Cardiac interventional procedures: TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman, Lead Extraction, TR Bands, complex PCI Angiogram, Dysrhythmias, Vascular procedures
• Hemodialysis administered in-room by RN
• Chemotherapy infusions
• Pre-open heart care

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in specialty
• Trauma Level 1 and Level 2 experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required (explicitly stated)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for Washington State
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified, RQI not accepted
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certified, RQI not accepted
• Telemetry certification required
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• EPIC experience preferred

Additional Competencies & Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required)
• Patient Restraints Competency Exam (required)
• Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) annually with minimum 85% score
• OSHA Mandatory training annually
• IV Therapy/Infusion Exam (required for RNs working in infusion/IV therapy)
• NIH Stroke Certification (required for CCU, Float Pool, and ED RNs)

Schedule & Other Notes

• No block schedule requests allowed
• Maximum 5 days return to office (RTO) to be considered
• Candidates will be assigned modules to complete after orientation, must be completed ASAP
• Physical exam within 1 year of start required
• Immunization and health requirements including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (highly preferred) or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccinations with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B titer, proof of series, or declination
  • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required year-round
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start required
• Background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• References: Minimum two satisfactory references from previous employers within the last year, including clinical competency and reliability

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Telemetry RN with oncology and cardiac telemetry experience in Bellevue, WA. The role requires a minimum of 3 years RN experience, trauma experience, and prior travel experience. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and telemetry are mandatory, with chemotherapy certification preferred.
