Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Germantown, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in Med Surg, overflow unit, post-surgical, and observation areas
Patient ratio approximately 1:6 or 1:7
Transitioning to team nursing model; LPNs are being hired to assist with this transition
On-call and weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
Weekend block scheduling generally not accommodated, but may be considered
Local candidates within 100-mile radius are not accepted
First-time travelers are not accepted; prior travel experience is required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with at least some experience within the last year
One year or more of total travel nursing experience
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
