X-Ray Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Shift: Wednesday through Sunday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
- On-call as needed
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Work includes GI procedures, general X-ray, C-arm use in the OR, and portable X-ray
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Experience with equipment/software such as Siemens, GE OEC, Ziehm, Shimadzu, Philips PACS required
- Epic electronic health record experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
Required Training and Compliance
- Completion of multiple online orientation and compliance modules prior to start, including but not limited to:
- Clinical/Online Orientation Module
- Annual Risk Management Course
- General Compliance & Ethics Training
- Code of Conduct
- Comprehensive Emergency Management Education
- Preventing & Reporting Workplace Harassment
- Stroke and Stroke Core Measures Review (required for nursing and IR techs)
- Other nursing-specific modules if applicable (e.g., IV medication administration, hazardous drugs, end of life care)
- Privacy Policy, AHCA Affidavit, and Demographic Information Sheet completion required
- Badge photo meeting strict guidelines (passport-style, white background, no obstructions)
- Data Security Form completion required
- Background check within 6 months including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, updated annually
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance required prior to start, with results dated within 30 days of start and renewed every 5 years
