Cardiopulmonary Therapist (Contract)

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Position Overview

• Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and respiratory care for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
• Deliver care across all hospital areas including emergency, in-patient, and out-patient settings.
• Must be able to safely function in a low oxygen environment at 8,000 ft elevation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado.
• Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonates.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Additional Information

• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing.
• Housing costs are high, especially in winter; typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in nearby towns is approximately $3,500/month.
• Candidates should consider housing options in surrounding towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs.
• Not accepting Respiratory Therapist Onsite Managers (RTOM).
