Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Hours per Week: 36 hours (4/10 schedule)
On Call: As required

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care in Interventional Radiology with proficiency in moderate sedation.
• Assess patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
• Participate in continuing education and meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict professionally.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Proficient in moderate sedation

Additional Information

• This is a new contract position, not an extension.
• Work environment includes various specialized units such as Intensive Care, Progressive Care, Cardiac Services, Interventional Imaging, Emergency Room, Recovery Room, and others related to cardiovascular and critical care.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
