Registered Nurse (ICU)

Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with every 3rd weekend required

Job Summary

• Provide critical care nursing in a 14-bed ICU unit
• Respond to code blue calls and manage advanced procedures including arterial lines, ventilators, BiPAP, and cardiac monitoring
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Float to other units as needed, including Telemetry and Emergency/Observatory departments

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years recent ICU nursing experience
• Current, active Minnesota RN license
• Active ACLS (AHA) certification
• Active BLS (AHA) certification
• Agency must have active Minnesota SNSA registration
• Willingness to float to Telemetry and ER units

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio: ICU 1:2 or 1:3; Telemetry 1:3 to 1:5; ER 1:3 to 1:5
• Orientation/training: 12 to 24 hours per unit, adjustable as needed
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility

Additional Notes

• EPIC experience required; if not experienced with EPIC, must specify other EMR systems used
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility may have adjusted pay rates (not included here)
• Must disclose if previously employed by this health system; prior employment must have ended at least 6 months before application submission
