Clinical Care Coordinator (Med/Tele/Swing RN)

Location: Valley City, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit Type: Medical-Telemetry Acute/Observation and Swingbed
• Number of Beds: 19
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3-6
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Pneumonia, rehab patients, COPD, CHF, pancreatitis, GI bleed

Schedule & Shifts

• Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Hours per Shift: 12 hours
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Scheduling: Team scheduling with possible self-scheduling or block scheduling
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Call or Standby: None

Required Skills & Experience

• Valid RN license in North Dakota
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS

Certifications & Licenses

• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS
• License: Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for North Dakota

Orientation & Training

• Unit-Specific Orientation: Typically 3-4 shifts (12-hour shifts)

Team & Support Staff

• Charge Nurse: No charge nurse on shift
• Nurse Aides/Patient Care Techs: One CNA per shift responsible for personal care, vitals, and weights
• Telemetry/Monitor Techs: None
• Respiratory Therapy Equipment: RNs set up and manage BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Bring your own scrubs (any color)
• Floating: May be required to float to Medical/Telemetry Acute, Observation, or Swingbed units
• Code Team: RNs on this floor may be part of the code team
• Work Culture: Positive teamwork environment; successful nurses are dependable, caring, knowledgeable, and flexible
• Radius Rule: Candidates must live within 50 miles and cannot be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any related facilities in the system
• Return to Office (RTO): Required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO approvals after submission
