ICU Registered Nurse

Location

Fergus Falls, Minnesota

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day/night rotation
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend
  • Holidays are worked per schedule

Unit Details

  • ICU with 5 beds
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
  • Charge nurse: none
  • Nurse aides: as needed
  • Tele/monitor techs: yes
  • Floating: Med Surg
  • Floor orientation: 1–2 shifts

Required Qualifications

  • RN license
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC

Clinical Support / Resources

  • Hospitalist in house
  • Respiratory therapy available 24/7, with on-call coverage after 6 pm
  • Pharmacy in house until 10 pm, then remote coverage

Common Patient Population / Clinical Experience

  • Stroke patients
  • STEMI and non-STEMI patients
  • TPN administration
  • ICU drips include Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, and vasopressors
  • Ventilator support includes Hamilton C-1

Additional Notes

  • Scrub color: Royal Blue for RNs
  • Steel Gray for CNAs
