Unit Details

Behavioral health psychiatric unit
Patient populations include adolescents and adults across multiple unit types
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 8:1
Coverage includes three 12-hour shifts per day, seven days a week, including weekends
Floating is based on greatest need

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Behavioral Health experience within the last year
1 year of Behavioral Health experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
CPI

Key Responsibilities

Assess patients’ mental health status
Develop individualized care plans
Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions
Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
Use therapeutic communication with patients
Monitor vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects

Additional Notes

Active Blue Card CPI required to submit
Meditech is used for documentation
Required uniform: blue for nurses, green or black for MHTs, or black
