Overview
- Travel assignment in Nashville, Tennessee
- Unit: 3rd, Neuro Med/Surg
- 20-bed unit
- 6:1 patient ratio
- 36 hours per week
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- Tech support available on day shift and night shift
- Unit secretary available 7a-7p
- Meditech documentation system
- Floating: contract labor is first to float; rotation is used when multiple contract staff are scheduled
Requested Skills
- Med/Surg experience
- Ability to prioritize care and multitask
- Ability to start IVs
- Basic wound care
- Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
Patient Care Expectations
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
- Bedside shift report
- Ability to make personal connections with patients and include them and family members in their plan of care
