Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Contract
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
On-Call: No on-call required
Unit Overview
- Unit Type: Level 3-4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Number of Beds: 97
- Number of Staff: Approximately 200
- Patient Ratios: 3-4 patients per RN
- Staff Composition: Primarily RNs and 1 clerk on night shift
- Equipment Used: Medfusion pumps, Alaris pumps, Giraffe isolettes, GE monitors
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems: CPN, Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience
- NICU experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not required
- Candidates with previous travel assignments will be considered first

- Dress Code: Navy scrubs only; no nail polish or artificial nails allowed
- Personality Fit: Friendly, outgoing, compassionate
- No on-call responsibilities

Typical Procedures & Responsibilities
- Care for critically ill neonates in a Level 3-4 NICU setting
- Utilize specialized neonatal equipment and monitors
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality neonatal care
This position offers a focused NICU travel nursing opportunity with a stable night shift schedule and a supportive work environment.
