Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Contract

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
On-Call: No on-call required

Unit Overview

Unit Type: Level 3-4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Number of Beds: 97
Number of Staff: Approximately 200
Patient Ratios: 3-4 patients per RN
Staff Composition: Primarily RNs and 1 clerk on night shift
Equipment Used: Medfusion pumps, Alaris pumps, Giraffe isolettes, GE monitors
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems: CPN, Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience
NICU experience within the last year
Certifications:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior travel experience is preferred but not required
Candidates with previous travel assignments will be considered first

Dress Code: Navy scrubs only; no nail polish or artificial nails allowed

No on-call responsibilities
