Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical & Emergency Department

Location: Haxtun, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in Medsurg (inpatient, observation, swing bed), Emergency Department, and Outpatient Infusion settings.
• Unit includes 6 Medsurg beds and 3 ER beds.
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, post-operative orthopedic cases, pneumonia, UTI/AMS, and failure to thrive.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Acute Care experience, including experience within the last year
• Emergency Department experience
• Infusion experience
• Certifications required:

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • TNCC
  • Procedural Sedation Module

Additional Information

• Experience with Athena EMR system preferred.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
