Perform patient transfers with assistance as needed from bed, chair, and floor.
Demonstrate safe and appropriate body mechanics to reduce injury risk.
Treat patients and colleagues with dignity, respect, empathy, and care.
Design and adjust plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plans.
Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
Evaluate clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes.
Perform examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to patient complaints and history.
Produce documentation in accordance with clinical policies and regulatory standards.
Screen patients to determine the need and effectiveness of therapy services.
Use and supervise support personnel according to legal and ethical guidelines.
Complete required annual education related to DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program (if applicable).
Implement functional and emotional needs-based intervention plans.
Modify approaches based on patient behavior and performance.
Utilize standardized outcome measures uniformly.
Collaborate with patients, families, and significant others throughout rehabilitation.
Provide supervision to PTAs and rehabilitation technicians.
Communicate patient status, recommendations, and discharge plans clearly with the medical team.
