Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey
• Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS
• DPT
• Manual therapy techniques
• Neuromuscular re-education
• Functional mobility training
• Pain management interventions
• Orthopedic rehabilitation
• Neurological rehabilitation

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients across all age groups
• Provide therapeutic treatment across all age groups
• Complete required documentation within department timelines
• Modify and deliver care based on patient needs, including age, culture, language, and sensory or developmental considerations
• Communicate with patients, parents, and/or caregivers at an appropriate level
• Adhere to organizational competencies

Physical Demands

• Lift at least 50 lbs
• Push and pull at least 100 lbs
• Stand at least 6 hours per day

• Therapeutic exercise prescription

• Fall risk assessment and prevention
• Assistive device assessment and training
• Range of motion and strength testing
• Patient transfer and mobility training

• Outcome measure administration and interpretation
• EMR documentation
• Patient and caregiver education
• Discharge planning and home exercise program development
• Infection prevention and safety compliance
• Evidence-based rehabilitation practices
• Compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and regulatory standards
• Interdisciplinary care coordination
