Radiology Tech/X-Ray Tech

Location

• Southfield, Michigan

Job Summary

• Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures under general supervision.
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
• Work settings include Emergency Room (ER), Inpatient, and Outpatient units.
• Trauma Level 2 facility.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Either 4 shifts of 10 hours (2100-0700) or 3 shifts of 12 hours (1900-0700)
• Every 3rd weekend rotation
• Approximately 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Radiology Technologist experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Healthcare Provider level)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GE and Phillips imaging equipment
• Knowledge of radiation protection, anatomical analysis, patient care standards, infection control, sterile equipment setup, clinical data review, patient preparation, and radiologic procedures
