Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery) - Travel

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (7 AM - 7 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts)

Job Overview

Provide competent nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients across all stages of growth and development (Pediatric to Geriatric).
Perform thorough, systematic, and accurate patient assessments.
Deliver direct patient care and support the patient care team.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes, patient progress, and education.
Demonstrate professional responsibility and adherence to policies and procedures.
Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification using two identifiers.
Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
Understand conditions, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients and anesthesia.
Provide pre-operative and postoperative assessments and patient education, including evaluating Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.
Support timely completion of patient testing related to surgery.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
