RN MedSurg/Tele

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12, 7p-7a, with weekend and holiday rotation

Overview

Provides direct patient care on a nursing unit, including assessments, treatments, admissions/transfers/discharges, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Previous nursing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop and implement nursing care plans and interventions
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
• Educate patients and families
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient flow
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks as appropriate
• Participate in quality improvement activities and core measures
