Respiratory Therapist - West Valley, Utah

Job Details

• Location: West Valley, Utah (Salt Lake City area)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend
• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Orientation: Week of orientation requires clinician to be in-state (some modules may be remote)
• May require flexible hours beyond standard shifts, including overtime and on-call coverage per department/facility policy

Job Description

• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and revise therapy plans as needed
• Conduct diagnostic testing including arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), EKGs, cardiac monitoring, bronchoscopy assistance, and pulse oximetry
• Transport patients within the hospital or between facilities
• May be required to provide on-call coverage outside of scheduled hours

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential via NBRC
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and on-call shifts
• Must be available for week of orientation in-state
