• ER RN
• Unit: ER/ED
• Trauma Level 3
• 40 patients per day
• 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• Must float throughout the 60-mile zone

Required Qualifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC
• RN license
• Must be able to read and interpret tele
• Must be trained and perform Point of Care lab testing
• DL must be submitted

Preferred Qualifications

• None stated

Additional Information

• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• RT is available 24/7 and completes breathing treatments and ABGs
• Techs support unit secretary work, assist nurses on the floor, and assist in triage
• ER holds are mixed within the ER
• No separate psych/seclusion rooms
• Common patient types include abdominal pain, DM, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and HTN
• Standard ER medications are used
• Leadership makes the schedule based on needs
• Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are completed remotely
