Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Independence, Missouri
Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (16 beds) within a 285-bed Level 2 Trauma Center

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend every 6 weeks (with flexible weekdays off if working weekends)
• Patient Ratios:

  • Acute care: 12:1
  • Rehab: 4-5:1
• Typical Procedures: Evaluations, treatments, activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility assistance
• Equipment Used: Rehab gym equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Scrubs in eggplant color

Unit Information

• Staffing:

  • 14 total OT staff (11 acute care OTs, 4 rehab OTs)
  • No night shift OT coverage
• Work Environment:

  • Department employee engagement group
  • Employee of the month recognition and team-building activities

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri
• Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) certification
