Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) – Nights

Job Description

• Work in a fully staffed Emergency Department equipped to handle routine emergencies, complex medical, surgical, and trauma care.
• Patient population includes all ages.
• Use EPIC EMR system (experience required).
• Must be able to think quickly, prioritize effectively, and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
• Responsibilities include obtaining health histories, performing accurate physical assessments, and planning treatments.
• Critical thinking, sharp decision-making, and strong communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to handle unplanned situations and manage difficult or combative patient/family behaviors.
• Key attributes for success: compassion, humor, good organizational skills, and teamwork.
• No block scheduling allowed.
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at application; no more than 5 days allowed. Late requests will not be approved and may risk offer rescindment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Experience in a Critical Access facility is required.
• EPIC EMR experience is mandatory and non-negotiable.
• New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license valid in New Hampshire (must be uploaded).
• Current American Heart Association certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment (must be documented).
• Skills checklist/leadership documentation relevant to the position, current within 1 year (required).
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
• Traveler’s permanent address must be included in profile.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required.

Additional Notes

• Orientation is non-billable with no overtime.
• Holiday pay multiplier applies.
• All certifications must be provided upfront; facility will not pend certifications.
• Scheduling requests and time off must be finalized at submission; no changes allowed after offer or at interview.

• Emergency Department includes a three-bed trauma room and five private exam rooms.
• Located in a scenic New England region known for outdoor activities year-round, including lakes, mountains, and cultural events.
