Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Job Description

• Work in a 437-bed teaching hospital, specifically in the Emergency Department (ED) / Admissions Unit.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios can be up to 1:8; candidates should be comfortable with this ratio.
• Uniform: scrubs in all white, all navy, or a combination of these colors. Croc-type shoes with holes are not allowed.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Permanent RN license required.
• First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required for ER positions (may be relevant)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit specifics (e.g., TNCC, NRP, EFM) – confirm as needed.

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Valid RN license in New York
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Requirements

• 2 clinical references required (supervisor level or above, charge RNs acceptable).
• Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for any gaps.
• Skills checklist current within the last year and applicable to the position.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty or comparable/higher acuity area.

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• This position requires comfort working in a fast-paced ED/Admissions environment with potentially high patient ratios.
