Job Opportunity: NICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights
Location: Los Angeles, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Specialty: NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of Level IV NICU experience
- Experience with oscillators, ventilators, pressors, cardiac care
- Central venous catheters (Broviac, IJ, Femoral)
- Surgical wound care
Required Certifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license (California) – Pending license not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid California RN license
- Minimum 2 years Level IV NICU experience as described above
- Must have NRP, BLS, and PALS certifications
- No pending licenses accepted
Additional Requirements
- Background checks including social security trace, criminal history, sex offender search, and federal exclusions (must be within 30 days of start)
- Education verification: BSN or MSN required
- Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency
- Facility-specific onboarding documents and training modules must be completed prior to start
- Physical exam and immunizations (including TB test, Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella) must be current and compliant with facility policies
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination form required (specific vaccine timing and types apply)
- Flu vaccine required during flu season or signed declination accepted
- References: 2 required, supervisor level or above, with at least one within the last year
- Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps
- Skills checklist and work history verification required
