Job Description

• Upon starting, you may be assigned to an "Emergency Team" with an expectation to stay onsite until the event passes or be part of a relief team during emergency events.
• Candidates must be comfortable with emergency assignments as directed by the unit manager.
• Extensive experience with C-arm equipment is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Louisiana.
• Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
• Required certifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • LSRTBE (Louisiana State Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Licensure

• Active Louisiana state license or Compact license required upon submission.
• License verification must be completed within 30 days of start.
• If license expires within 30 days of start, renewal must be completed prior to start date.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
• Sex offender search required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
• Education verification or transcript/diploma required if licensure verification is not possible.
• Employment application and skills checklist must be submitted and updated annually.
• Resume/application must include 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, indicating good physical health.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; must be initiated within 24-48 hours of offer acceptance.
• Fit mask testing (N95) within one year of start; onsite fit testing available if needed.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity for:

  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (or approved medical/religious exemption)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if applicable)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (proof of immunity or vaccination)

• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 12 months of start; annual updates required.
• TB questionnaire required if positive TB test history.

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Upload a full-color, passport-style photo within 24 hours of booking.
• Completion of emergency preparedness checklist during hurricane season (June 1 - Nov 30).
• May be required to complete onsite fit testing authorization form if fit test is done onsite.
