Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Call required
- Work setting: Operating Room (OR)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check: 7-year history including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender, education verification
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only) and must be redone for every new contract
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (fit test done onsite)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Hepatitis B: positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- Photo for badge required
- Employment application/resume required
- 7-year work history verification required
Additional Notes
- Internal requirements include I9, driver's license/state ID, E-Verify, and education verification
- Core HIPAA and safety manual acknowledgments required
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing required as applicable
- References are an internal requirement only and not mandatory for clearance
