Overview

• Travel/Contract ED RN role in La Plata, Maryland
• Nights: 19:00-07:30
• 36 or 48 hours accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as scheduled
• Floating required within the specialty
• On-call not required
• Contract length: 13 weeks, with possible extension up to 20 weeks for strong experience
• Backfill role

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
• 2 supervisory references within 1 year of start
• Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start
• Previous 5 years of employment history verification
• First-time travelers accepted

Preferred

• 2 years of experience

• Fast-paced, high-volume ER
• Average daily census: 130
• 47 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Patient population includes infants through geriatrics
• Not a trauma center
