Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Slidell, Louisiana
• Day shift: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 5x8s
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 8 weeks
• Unit details: 7 rooms; 10–25 cases per day
• Call required: weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Weekends: 2 weekends per 6-week schedule
• Scrubs provided: green

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• CVOR experience within the last year
• 2 years of CVOR experience
• OR - Operating Room experience
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS issued by the American Heart Association
• Resume/Application required
• Skills checklist required
• Competency exam required and must be completed within 1 year prior to start with a minimum score of 80%
• Current/valid Driver’s License, State ID, or government photo ID required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, showing good physical health
• Fit testing within 1 year prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella documentation required
• Tdap required
• Flu vaccination, declination, or exemption required during flu season
• CLEAR enrollment required
• Background check required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required
• HHS/OIG required
• Sex offender search required
• NURSYS verification required

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually
• Unit will accept first-time travelers if they have enough OR experience
• Must have CV experience
