Medical Surgical Nurse

Job Overview

• Location: Tyrone, Pennsylvania
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Local candidate restriction: No locals within 50 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• Background check, including criminal search, sex offender search, county searches, statewide search, and federal exclusions checks
• FBI fingerprinting in Pennsylvania
• Child abuse search
• Education verification
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the required timeframe
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Breathalyzer test within 30 days of start
• COVID vaccine or facility declination
• Flu vaccine or facility declination during flu season
• Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years or facility declination
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation or accepted declinations
• Orientation packet, medical surveillance checklist, bloodborne pathogen quiz, and badge photo
• Skills checklist
