Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel/Contract)
Location: Glendale, California
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards and nursing process.
- Supervise and direct nursing staff activities and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion in patient care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to ensure a safe, healing, and humane environment.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education.
- Delegate and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
Additional Requirements & Facility Specifics
- Must wear navy blue scrubs (provided for L&D and OR nurses)
