Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Glendale, California
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards and nursing process.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff activities and coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion in patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to ensure a safe, healing, and humane environment.
• Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education.
• Delegate and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system

Additional Requirements & Facility Specifics

• Must wear navy blue scrubs (provided for L&D and OR nurses)
