Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit

Location: Lexington, Kentucky

Contract Length: 14 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Unit Type: Acute, non-telemetry medical-surgical unit

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on an acute med-surg unit with a 1:5 patient ratio.
• Preferred experience in an academic medical center.
• Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Renewal plans must be in place for any certifications or documents expiring during the contract.
• Candidates must initiate background checks and drug screening promptly if prior documents do not meet requirements.
• Facility-specific policies and agreements (e.g., confidentiality, acceptable use) must be signed prior to start.
