Registered Nurse – Cardiac Surgical ICU

Overview

  • Location: New York, New York
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Hours: 34.5 hours per week
  • Schedule: 3 days per week, weekends required, every other weekend

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • CVICU (2 years of experience)
  • CVICU experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • CCU - Coronary Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPIC experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Associate degree in nursing considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program

Role Highlights

  • Provides safe, competent nursing care to a designated patient group
  • Assesses patient needs, applies critical thinking, and integrates nursing interventions
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team on care planning and evaluation
  • Educates patients and caregivers on care plans, transitions, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Supports quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
  • May perform charge nurse duties as assigned
