Location
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- 4x10 shifts
- On-call coverage on nights and weekends, approximately 8–10 shifts per month
- May need to work overtime
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Graduate of a post-secondary educational program in health science such as cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT, or completion of a military educational program
- Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association upon hire
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT(RT), RCES, or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire
Experience / Skills
- Knowledge of medical imaging, patient positioning, and medical ethics
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to specialty imaging procedures
- Ability to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation
- Knowledge of sterile field practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide care appropriate to the age and patient populations served
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and standards
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, remain calm under stress, and work effectively in a diverse team
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes
Job Summary
- Assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions without surgery
- Supports procedures such as cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization, and pain management
- Assists with patient preparation, sterile technique, equipment maintenance, quality checks, documentation, and on-call clinical coverage
- May assist with teaching, precepting, and onboarding team members
