Unit Information

• Unit: Labor & Delivery
• Number of Beds:

  • 19 patient rooms
  • 6 PACU rooms
  • 6 triage rooms
  • 3 L&D ORs
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7-9 RNs, 1 CST
• Patient Ratios:

  • 2:1 for general patients
  • 1:1 for complicated patients
• Equipment:

  • FHR monitors (Novii and GE)
  • Fetal scalp electrodes (FSE)
• EMR Systems: CPN and Meditech

Hiring Profile

Required Skills

• 3+ years of Labor/Delivery experience
• BLS, NRP certifications
• ACLS, ALS (preferred)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Mom/Baby, Pediatrics, and/or NICU

Responsibilities

• Perform vaginal and c-section deliveries
• Deliver care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients, and high-risk antepartum patients
