Unit Information

• Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios:

  • Main area (12 beds): 4:1
  • Fast Track (5 rooms): 5:1
  • Extension from main (6 beds): 6:1, with Medic and Charge assist
  • 1 sub-waiting room, primarily handled by the charge nurse

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• One year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year

Common Diagnoses and Treatment

• CHF, COPD, CVA, Pneumonia

Eligibility

• Travel candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility.
