Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Call Requirements: None
Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends, approximately 4 shifts per month
Unit Overview
- Unit: Medical-Surgical, 3 East
- Number of Beds: 28
- Staffing: 32 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
- Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
- Equipment: Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
