Overview

Travel nursing role in an emergency department in Kansas City, Missouri.
48 hours per week guaranteed is an option.
13-week contract.
48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
TNCC
CPI
NIH Certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Emergency department with 38 head walls across 3 main areas: Rapid, Main, and POD 3
Staffing includes day, night, and mid-shift RNs
Common equipment includes ventilator, BiPAP, EKG, arterial lines, Belmont, and chest tubes
Common procedures include port placement and chest tubes
EMR used: Meditech

Scheduling

4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays minimum per 4-week schedule
2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays

Floating

May float to Brookside ED

This MRI department is amazing! The nurses there are awesome! My experience there was exceptional! The patient care was outstanding!!

Cons

The pay was the only thing that was lacking. But that is what it was! No regrets about working there! Also the housing situation was not great. But that has nothing to do with the facility!
