Overview
- Travel RN position in Portland, Maine
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts
- Weekly hours: 48 preferred, 36 acceptable
- Contract length: 24 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (3 years of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in an Inpatient setting
- Cardiac drips experience
- Phase 1 post-anesthesia care
- Groin management
- Pre- and post-procedure TEE/CV/CATH/EP experience
- Preoperative experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Schedule and Coverage
- Every other weekend scheduled
- Weekend call required every other weekend
- Call required
Work Setting
- PACU / pre-operative and post-operative care
- Float required to Bramhall PACU, IMC, and ICU
Clinical Focus
- Pre- and post-procedure care for TEE/CV, cath/EP, and OR procedures
- Cardiac drips
- IVs
- Telemetry monitoring
- Phase 1 care
- Groin management
- EKGs
Additional Notes
- Online education modules and unit orientation provided as needed
- Team-oriented, flexible, and strong communication skills are valued
