Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel Assignment)

Location: Hancock, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced RN for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit in a 36-bed hospital with Level III Trauma and Level I Maternal and Neonatal designations. The position is night shift with 36 guaranteed hours per week and every third weekend required. No call responsibilities.

Unit Profile

Unit: Family Birthing Center
Beds: 5 LDRP, 3 Overflow, 3 Triage
Patient Ratios: AWHONN staffing guidelines
Equipment: Main OR, Epidural, Nitrous, Monica Novi wireless monitoring
Electronic Health Records: Meditech, OBIX
Patient Population: Low to high risk, including low volume substance use disorder (SUD) patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Minimum 3 years of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in OB/GYN, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery care
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Schedule & Requirements

Shift: Night
Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend: Every third weekend required
No float or call requirements

Dress Code

Scrubs of any color allowed (no cartoon characters)
No blue jeans permitted

Additional Notes

Experience with a variety of patient acuity levels is expected
The hospital serves a broad range of specialties including cardiopulmonary, orthopedics, trauma, and advanced wound care, providing a diverse clinical environment
Location offers access to natural attractions such as Lake Superior beaches
