Job Opportunity: OB RN (Labor, Delivery, Postpartum)

Location: Machias, Maine

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide holistic, individualized nursing care on the OB unit, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients.
• Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills independently.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under charge nurse supervision.
• Manage supplies and equipment.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and other hospital personnel.
• Adhere to nursing standards, hospital policies on confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and support organizational mission and values.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Successful completion of general nursing and unit orientation.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, STABLE.
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate.
