Location
- Colorado Springs, Colorado
Assignment Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 6-week block scheduling
- Every third weekend
Unit
- L&D/PP/MB
- 22 L&D beds
- 2 OR suites for C-sections
- 7 triage beds
- 34 postpartum beds
Patient Population
- Postpartum vaginal, c-section, newborn
Required Qualifications
- BLS
- NRP Advanced
- Postpartum experience that included taking care and baby
Preferred Qualifications
- Labor and delivery experience
Responsibilities / Unit Expectations
- RNs are not required to titrate drips
- No tele techs; RNs just need to visualize pulse ox reading
- Charge nurse does not take patients
Call
- 18 hours of call every 6 weeks
Floating
- May float within Zone 1
- Labor and delivery experience is helpful for floating, but not required
Orientation
- 1 shift to orient
- Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote
