Location

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or NCCT
• North Dakota UAP
• 2 years of CVOR experience
• Must be able to first scrub

Key Job Details

• CVOR role with 2 CVOR suites
• Common cases include open hearts, thoracic and vascular cases, CABG, valves, aneurysms, thoracotomies, VATS, convergent procedures, AAA, carotids, robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5, and Stryker towers
• Must be willing to cross-train into general OR and other OR specialties if CV volume is low
• Must be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter
• Call is required on weeknights, weekends, and rotating holidays
• 15-minute call response time
• Sleep room available; nearby housing may be available for call

Schedule

• Regular shift: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM Monday through Friday
• Some open-heart case prep may start at 6:00 AM with advance notice
• 3–4 weeknight call shifts per week
• Every other to every third weekend call

Orientation

• 4–5 days of unit-based orientation
• 2 buddy call shifts
• Orientation is flexible based on recent heart experience

Additional Notes

• Scrub color/dress code is provided
• RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 or fewer days for the 13-week contract
• Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
