MRI Technologist - Medford, Oregon

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3rd Shift (Nights), Monday - Friday, 1700 - 0130 (10-hour shifts, 40 hours/week)
• Work Environment: 2 MRI rooms; will work with an aide during all hours
• Call: May be assigned depending on staffing and department needs, but not regularly scheduled
• Floating: No floating to other units or departments
• Dress Code: Medical scrubs; clothing must be neat, clean, and professional. No spandex, leggings, denim, tank tops, bare-midriff, low-cut tops, miniskirts, shorts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, or cargo pants (except scrub pants with cargo pockets). Closed-toe shoes required.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures including:

  • Neuro with perfusion
  • Musculoskeletal (MSK)
  • Abdomen imaging
  • Critical care patients
  • Pediatric patients (including some NICU)
  • General anesthesia patients
• Use equipment such as:

  • EPIC and PACS systems
  • SIEMENS SKYRA 3.0T and SIEMENS ALTEA 1.5T MRI machines
  • Temporary mobile MRI, Siemens Aera 1.5T

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license in Oregon
• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Certification as an MRI Technologist from either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Related Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not accepted; there is a 50-mile radius restriction for applicants
• Orientation includes 12 hours of non-billable time during the first work week
• Orientation period lasts 2-4 weeks on day shift with possible backup call until comfortable working nights
