Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Oakland, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Work environment: Cardiac catheterization procedural suite
  • Call schedule: 8-14 days of call per month
  • Weekend coverage: 4-6 weekends per month, including Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
  • Required skills:
    • Diagnostic Cath Lab
    • EP Lab
    • Interventional Radiology (IR)
    • Stents
  • Experience required covering:
    • STEMI calls
    • Vascular IR cases
    • EP procedures

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • Fluoroscopy CA License
  • ARRT-CI (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Cardiovascular Interventional)
  • State License (Radiology / Cardiology) - must be current and unencumbered
  • Tech Certification (ARRT required for Radiology)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Required Documents & Verifications

  • Valid Driver’s License or Passport (photo ID, color)
  • Background Check (within 90 days prior to start) including:
    • SSN Trace
    • 7-year Nationwide, County, and National Criminal searches
    • FACIS Level 3
    • National Sex Offender, OIG Sanction, OFAC, SAM.gov checks
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM verification (within 90 days)
  • HHS/OIG verification (within 90 days)
  • Education Verification (highest level, no placeholders)
  • Employment Application and Resume (last 7 years)
  • Work History Verification (past 3 years)

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical Exam (within 90 days of start) signed by MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN
  • Fit Mask test (within 90 days) with approved masks (3M 8210, 3M 1860S, 3M 1860R)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination (within 10 years or signed declination)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (updated annually)
  • TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination)
    • Varicella
  • Drug Testing: Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start (specific analytes required)
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (required by November 6)
  • Color Blind Exam (within 90 days)

Competencies & Facility Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • Facility-specific competencies and New Employee Orientation modules must be completed by the first day of contract
  • Badge photo (passport style, no filters) required for facility ID badge
