Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic MRI procedures supporting quality healthcare services.
• Experience required with Siemens MRI equipment.
• Procedures include Abdomen/Pelvis, Chest, Head/Neck, Breast (preferred), Cardiovascular (preferred), Spine/Musculoskeletal, Diffusion (non-brain), Perfusion, Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, Multiplanar Reconstruction, Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T-1 and T-2 Weighted Images, Maximum Intensity Projection (preferred).
• Work schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Patient population: All ages from neonate to older adult, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Must follow isolation precautions.
• Must have experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

• Current ARRT-MR certification.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum years of specialty experience: 5 years (based on job description experience requirements).
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service).
• Background check within 6 months of start date, including alias, SSN trace, counties, nationwide, and national sex offender checks.
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance required prior to start (valid within 30 days of start).
• Physical exam within 6 months of start, signed by DO, MD, NP, APRN, or PA, confirming fitness for duty without restrictions.
• Negative QuantiFERON TB test within 6 months or chest X-ray if prior positive.
• Annual fit mask test with approved masks (3M 1860 Regular or Small).
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
• Immunizations/vaccinations:

  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if low/equivocal titer).
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination.
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if low/equivocal titer).
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
  • COVID-19 vaccination preferred (for tracking purposes).
• Two professional references within the last 2 years.
• Annual skills checklist.

Required Training & Certifications

• Completion of Broward Health online orientation modules and annual compliance training (includes Privacy Policy, AHCA Affidavit, Demographic Information Sheet, Risk Management, Compliance & Ethics, Code of Conduct, Emergency Management, Harassment Prevention, and others).
• Additional nursing-specific modules are not required for this MRI Tech role.
