Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Atlanta, Georgia
- Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 10 weeks
- Locals accepted
Clinical Setting
- High-volume structural echo lab
- Performs TEE, stress echo, complete TTE, and structural echocardiography
- Works with inpatient, ICU, and outpatient populations
- Uses Lumason contrast, 3D, and strain imaging
- Supports organ recovery and spine center cases
- Preliminary reports are entered by sonographers
Schedule Expectations
- 1 week of call twice during the contract
- May float within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Holidays may be required based on assignment dates
- Maximum RTO: 7 days
Required Qualifications
- Echo Technologist with 5 years of experience
- Echo Technologist experience within the last year
- State of Georgia license required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- National certification verification required, if applicable
- Color blind testing required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required
Compliance and Onboarding
- Full compliance is required to start on time
- Background check must be complete before start
- Education verification is required
- Photo ID required
- Skills checklist required within 12 months and updated annually
- Work history verification required
- 2 clinical references required
- Physical exam required
- Negative TB screening or chest x-ray required
- TB questionnaire required
- Drug screen required
- Flu vaccination or declination required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation required
Additional Notes
- Clinical screening is completed case by case before final manager review
- Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length
