MRI Technologist Travel/Contract Position

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description

• Perform a wide variety of high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exams.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Pediatric MRI experience required.
• MRI certification required.
• Experience with GE and Siemens MRI machines preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience.
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year.
• Experience working with pediatric patients.

Experience & Travel Requirements

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Weekend shifts are not required.
• On-call shifts are not required.
• Floating within scope may be required depending on facility needs; floating to sister facilities is not required.
• Local candidates are accepted.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Background check within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• Education verification required (transcript/diploma accepted if verification pending).
• Physical exam within 30 days of start including latex allergy information.
• Fit mask test (N95 1860 or 1870+ or PAPR) within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years (TD and DTap not accepted).
• Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 60 days of start or chest x-ray if previously positive.
• TB questionnaire required for all candidates.
• Immunization or positive quantitative titer documentation required for:

  • Measles (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer with lab values)
  • Mumps (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer with lab values)
  • Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer with lab values)
  • Hepatitis B series and quantitative surface antibody titer (facility-specific declination form accepted if declining)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values)
• 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 30 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
• COVID-19 vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes.
• Latex allergy questionnaire accepted if not included in physical exam.

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references dated within the past two years (preferably supervisors/managers).
• Employment application required.
• Skills checklist required.
• Facility-specific photo for badge (must meet strict photo guidelines).
• Completion of required facility-specific training modules prior to start.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required.
• Pass/fail medication calculation exam at orientation (not required for per diem).

Other Information

• Start date ASAP; compliance process takes approximately 2-3 weeks.
• Return to office (RTO) restrictions: maximum 7 days; if 7 consecutive days, an additional week must be added to the end of the contract.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
