Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5 days, 8 hours each)
• No weekends or call required
• Floating within facility and to nearby locations as needed

Contract Length

• 12 weeks

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Licensure

• Must have a valid Georgia Physical Therapy license in hand before start

Required Certifications & Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on specialty/unit
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke, etc.) depend on unit requirements; verify if applicable
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required for RNs/LVNs (not applicable for PT)
• Color Blind Testing required for all candidates
• Competency exams may be required depending on unit

Compliance & Orientation

• Full compliance with all credentialing and documentation required to start on time
• Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
• Background check must be completed within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process
• Physical exam required within 12 months prior to start
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start (includes amphetamines, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, methadone, PCP, THC, etc.)
• Annual TB questionnaire required; negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or documentation of immunity:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
  • Tdap (Tdap highly recommended but not required)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)

Holidays

• Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Additional Requirements

• Review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
• Two clinical references required
• Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
• Verification of most recent work history required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
