Overview
- Travel/contract role in Seward, Alaska
- Long-term care setting
- Start date: ASAP
- Assignment length: 26 weeks or 13 weeks, traveler’s choice
- Shift options: 4x12 variable or 3x12 variable, with days or nights based on facility needs
- Patient ratio: 1:20
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending license is not accepted
- On-call is not required
- Floating may be required within scope
- Block scheduling is not available
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Long Term Care experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule Notes
- Caregivers are not expected to rotate between day and night shifts, except for occasional urgent staffing needs
- Holidays: must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays
Facility Notes
- 40 staffed beds
- Any scrub color is allowed
- Charting system: ECS
- Parking is free
Additional Information
- Alaska Food Worker Certification is obtained during on-site orientation; it is required for working in an LTC facility
- Shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage is paid by the facility at the beginning and end of the assignment
- Local shuttle transportation is available in Seward
